Christian Conner, BDM

Christian Conner has worked with Ilum-a-Lite since 2006 and is currently the Business Development Manager. Christian has varied a sales background and is a sales professional specialising in energy saving lighting.

Christian started his working career with a university graduates program at a bearing manufacturing company. He commenced this program whilst still attending university part time. He eventually qualified for a bachelor’s degree in technology management with a major in manufacturing. His talent for customer service was quickly recognised and he was quickly promoted to a OEM customer specific service role.

Since his first role in 1996, Christian has gained invaluable experience in a diverse range of industries with a focus for environmentally friendly products. Christian has excelled in his focus to identify customer’s opportunities to save wastage and reduce running costs.

In 2005 Christian realised the potential for energy saving lighting products and enrolled in a Masters course for Design Science (Lighting) at the University of Sydney’s Architecture department.

During this time, Christian joined Ilum-a-Lite as a business development manager with a view to develop the energy saving lighting market in Australia. Christian was Ilum-a-Lite’s first full time lighting sales specialist. Since he started at Ilumalite he has opened new markets in QLD, ACT and regional NSW which are now key revenue bases.

Christian has become a key player for the Ilum-a-Lite and is now responsible for many national accounts including the ABC, Stockland, Macquarie, Mirvac, Qantas and Arnotts. Some of his work can be seen in the case studies that are posted on the Ilum-a-Lite website.
