Ilum-a-Lite Community contributions
At Ilum-a-Lite we help our customers to save energy and greenhouse gas as our contribution to reducing the effects of global warming.
For more than 10 years Ilum-a-Lite has been contributing to our community through our tree planting program. Over the years this has amounted to tens of thousands of tonnes of CO2 abated and tens of thousands of trees planted in schools, parks, regeneration projects, council precincts or as anti-erosion measures.
Some of our major projects include:
- 20,000 trees planted at Camden’s Bicentennial Park
- Baulkham Hills Shire Council planting around the Australian Football League (AFL) sports ground at Rouse Hill
- In Partnership with QANTAS Ilum-a-Lite funded planting of a small citrus orchard, Olive Grove and Bush Tucker plantation at Mascot Public School.
Our contribution to the community was recognised in 2008 when Ilum-a-Lite was a finalist in the Telstra Business Awards – Social Responsibility category.
